What we collect
Why we use it
To create and manage your account, issue donation receipts and 80G certificates, send you receipts, OTPs and temple updates by SMS, WhatsApp and email, record seva and volunteer work, keep the service secure, and meet legal and accounting obligations.
Who processes it for us
Payment gateways (ICICI Bank, Razorpay, CCAvenue) to process donations; TimesMobile to send SMS and WhatsApp messages; Google for sign-in and reCAPTCHA (spam protection); and Amazon Web Services for hosting and storage. They act on our instructions.
Advertising and measurement
Donations made inside the Android app are not shared with any advertising company. On our website, donation pages use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel: when a donation is completed there, we send Meta the amount and seva with your email, phone, name, city, state, PIN, country, date of birth and gender in hashed (scrambled) form, plus your IP address and browser, to measure our outreach. We never send your PAN.
How long we keep it
As long as your account exists. Donation and receipt records are kept for as long as Indian law requires.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (My Profile, then Close account) or at seva.pandharpur.myiskcon.org/delete-account. Your personal details (name, phone, WhatsApp, email, address, PAN, photo, date of birth and family members) are erased at once and you are signed out. Donation records and receipts are kept, as Indian tax law (80G) requires. You can sign up again later; that creates a new account.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and continued use of our website after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
